WHO THE F*CK IS MIKE JOHNS?

Sitting at the hectic intersection between technology and entertainment, Mike Johns is a sought-after negotiator brokering deals with Microsoft, T-Mobile, NBC, and ESPN to name just a few. Most recently, Johns brokered a groundbreaking deal for iHeart Radio closely followed by a deal for Radio One.

Johns began his career as mobile content provider for T-Mobile. From there, he rapidly leveraged his expertise to become an in-demand content provider serving telecom companies such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
Most notably, his forte is joining creative marketing concepts with non-traditional revenue streams, brand positioning, media buying, organizing unique events coupled with innovative public relations strategies. By doing so, Johns helps to generate significant revenue for established brands.

With a Jamaican hard-core work ethic, innovative marketing principles, and his sharp eye for talent, Johns puts his “mobile touch” on brands such as Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z, Oscar-winning rap duo Three Six Mafia and Remy Ma, Jerry Springer and Maury Povich—even former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. All of their careers were launched into super-stardom with Johns’ unique blend talents.

Today, Johns focuses on creating innovative experiences for emerging technologies in unexpected environments. He is also a founding member of I Am Digital, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting digital literacy and creating smart cities for its citizens. He is working to tailor STEAM/STEM learning in the U.S., Jamaica, and a number of developing countries worldwide.

Since its inception, I Am Digital has helped train a legion of teachers, students including government officials on the importance of digital literacy and its impact on the future of work. Johns is most passionate about how data and technologies of yesterday and today can be made to help shape a better tomorrow.

FUTURE OF WORK

Mike Johns knows that as automation continues and we see the rise of artificial intelligence, robots and other nascent technologies such as blockchain entering the workforce, there is massive disruption of jobs. The pandemic has expedited this change, forcing businesses to find efficient ways to connect outside of the office, and most of these changes are here to stay. Johns works with large and small organizations, from Fortune 500s to startups to develop a crisis response to include a new operating model, clear goals, and a replacement of corporate bureaucracy with a focus on staff development. Mike Johns leverages his network to craft experiences that evokes powerful emotions, build intimacy and grows the organizations culture overtime.

There is no exact method to predict the future, however, Mike Johns knows that as the world begins to move into the post-COVID-19 era, leaders need to commit to forward thinking. The current trends within the workforce already provide incredible insight into how the future of the work will operate and impact business. Johns believes that if organizational leadership can reflect and rethink their business strategies than their organizations will be able to gain and maintain a competitive advantage in their market.

See The Future, Be Prepared!

My Forecasts For The Year 2030 Is Based By Observing Current Trends, As Advances Continue In 5G, Autonomous Cars, Gender, Jobs, Africa, AI, The Internet Of Things.

See The Future, Be Prepared!
A New Kind of Education
Learning what you want when you want will be the norm. Just in time learning systems will deliver training to student when and where they need it. Instead of sitting through hours of traditional classroom "blah," students will be able to tap into Open Educational Resources that will feature immersive Web-based tutorials, interactive experiences and other tools to zero in on just the information they need to solve problems, perform specific tasks or quickly update their skills or simply learn. Students will spend more time interacting with simulations. Personalized experiences will make education more engaging as new tools will allow ordinary teachers to create not just personalized but more engaging learning experiences. Drag-and-drop elements and simple authoring tools will be increasingly available to enable faculty to create manipulate adaptive multimedia learning modules.
The New Work Force
Remote working is the new norm thanks to technologies including virtual private networks (VPNs), voice over internet protocols (VoIPs), virtual meetings, cloud technology, work collaboration tools and Object Detection, Tracking & Recognition technologies that enable a person to appear before a virtual background to preserve the privacy of the home. By 2030 most of the US work will be made up of freelance "knowledge workers." The youngest workforce generation is leading the way, with almost half of millennials freelancing already. In the face of digital disruption in every industry and changes in worker demands for work-life balance, the 40-hour work week changes drastically.
The End of Cash
The end of cash is near in many ways. We are digital now, using plastic to create credit cards will be obsolete. By 2030, the current inflationary fiat financial system will migrate to hyperinflationary and dystopian Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) which makes it easier for people to switch to deflationary cryptocurrencies. Alliances would be forged with major key stakeholders like Mastercard and Visa, Amazon, Walmart, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Crypto payments will be the new digital payment enabling people to make online purchases and payments of goods, services and even utility payments.
Autonomous Cars and Hip Hop
The demand for Autonomous Vehicle is expected to reach 4.2 Million units by 2030 according to the latest research. A new kind of 'passenger economy' is being birthed, the cars dubbed 'experience pods' will be hubs to in-car entertainment. If you're a rapper or any other type of musician, immersive music thanks to 5g streaming and 9D movies will be dominant in-car entertainment, though new movie and gaming experiences will flourish as soon as consumers adapt this new autonomous car drivers mindset (and they will). Thanks to super-fast and ubiquitous 5G connectivity, hi-def games, movies and new forms of multiplayer interactive entertainments will find their home in the car. Game developers' thirst for new gameplay experiences and vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communications will foster innovative in-car gaming.
Radio Will Erode In By 2030
The rollout of 5G systems (2020-2021) will mark the start of the global transformation to mobile media and the internet. The nostalgic FM broadband will move online, where radio stations will show live video broadcasts from their remote studios. Radio and TV will finally merge, and the old model will have to raise its game, straight up! By 2030, 70% of the world will be online as audio and video will be accessible online. The internet is free dammit!
Africa Got Next
Beginning in 2030, 43 percent of all Africans will join the ranks of the global middle and upper classes. The number of young people reaching working age in Africa will exceed that of the rest of the entire world combined and will continue every year for the rest of the century. Facts, by 2050, one in every four humans will be African. At the end of the century, nearly 40 percent of the world’s population will be African. The average household consumption in Africa is expected to reach $2.5 trillion, more than double the $1.1 trillion with combined consumer and business spending will total $6.7 trillion. Game time!
The Rise of Black Women
By 2030: The black women remain dedicated to their families and careers. The number of black women in senior leadership position in business will continue to grow. Black female leaders from across generations are working together to find new solutions to the world's biggest problems. The black woman will unlock the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and ensure technology is developed from a balanced perspective. The contribution of women to what Africa is today is unquestionable. If Africa sustains and accelerates structural reforms, some believe the continent can emulate China’s rapid rise of the last 50 years.

The 5% Rule

America is tackling a tough technology problem. Microsoft research has indicated that if broadband access was counted more precisely, the number of Americans without it would be closer to 163 million people. We have a vast number of households lacking Internet access, and the spread of the coronavirus has only increased the importance of digital skills. 5% of my proceeds goes to support I Am Digital a 501 (C) (3) non profit organization I created focused on providing Internet access, education, digital literacy, STEAM learning and the future of work skills for the global underserved markets .
